Operating since 1996, Chances annual operating costs are approximately 16000 Euros to offer three pillars of support for women in Bishkek:
• 24-7 Phone Crisis Support: There is a dedicated line for survivors of sexual violence and a separate 24/7 line for trafficking victims. Trained operators provide immediate support, help with safety planning, and connect women to in-person services.
• Professional Psychological Support: Chances employs qualified psychologists who provide individual and group counseling.
• Social Reintegration: supporting women with legal resources, job training, securing housing and accessing other public services
We have already delivered funds raised from our winter and spring screenings in May and look forward to continuing to send this message of solidarity to them again in the fall, thanks to our summer and anticipated fall film screenings.
