She is in her ninth year at the Hadja Fanta Diané school, where her favourite subjects are mathematics and physics. In addition to acrobatics, she loves dancing and acting, and she recently won the school's “Miss Election”. Her dream? To become a famous acrobat and actress.
Marjolijn Prins is a documentary filmmaker with a background in arts. During her fine arts studies, Marjolijn researched the possibility to direct her life as a fiction film. She tried to travel with a camel from France to the Netherlands, but not a single step of the journey went according to the script. When the beauty of failure and the unexpected was embraced, her love for documentary was born.
Amoukanama was founded in 2017 by Alseny Sacko and Balla Moussa Bangoura to offer young people in Conakry new opportunities through circus. Together with Nathalie Vandenabeele, their shared passion grew into an active organisation in Guinea and Belgium. Using circus as a universal language, they encourage young people to develop their talents and connect cultures. They have realised successful projects in Belgium, France and Guinea, and performed on international stages such as America's Got Talent & the Olympic Games.
