Marina Petrovskaia, a.k.a. Cinewindow Productions, produces documentaries independently. Born in Leningrad (now St. Petersburg), Russia, she holds an M.F.A. in Film and Media Arts from Temple University in Philadelphia and is currently based in Gainesville, Florida. As a director, Petrovskaia is drawn to investigative storytelling that transcends international, social, and political boundaries.
A FILMMAKER'S DIARY was a Keynote Film Presentation at the 2026 NESEEES Conference at New York University in April 2026, where it was praised for its audacity. The film was also featured at the 2024 Vision du Réel International Film Festival Film- Market in Nyon, Switzerland. Its first vignette, IN THE TUNNEL, was completed in the fall of 2022 and was also selected for 2023 Vision du Réel Film-Market as a short film.
The film has strong educational potential for audiences around the world. Its screening at the Visible Evidence XXXII Conference would help the filmmaker connect with educators, documentary scholars, festival programmers, and distributors, increasing the film's chances of reaching audiences worldwide.
