A House Made of Splinters
Help us support and ensure positive opportunities for the four main heroes of the film; Eva, Sasha, Alina and Kolya. Support will go to educational needs, places to live and other opportunities that can ensure a better future for the children.
Synopsis : As the war in Eastern Ukraine takes a heavy toll on families living near the frontline, a small group of strong-willed social workers work tirelessly in a special kind of orphanage to create an almost magical safe space for kids to live in.
This is Simon Lereng Wilmont's second film shot in Eastern Ukraine, his feature debut was the award winning "The Distant Barking of Dogs", about Oleg and his grandmother, who lived in a tiny village, close to the frontline, and through the film we followed their daily life - under the constant shadow of war. Oleg and his grandmother had to flee their village during the first months of the Russian full-scale invasion of Ukraine, ending up in a basement in Mariupol for more than a month. They were able to leave and go to a more peaceful part of Ukraine, because of the donations they received through ShareDoc.
We are hoping that ShareDoc can also help better the lives of Eva, Sasha, Alina & Kolya from "A House Made of Splinters".
