Fanta Turpin (2010, Matam, Conakry) was performing acrobatic tricks before she could even walk. At the age of nine, she became the first girl to join the Amoukanama circus troupe, and since then her life has revolved around acrobatics. She is in her ninth year at the Hadja Fanta Diané school, where her favourite subjects are mathematics and physics. In addition to acrobatics, she loves dancing and acting, and she recently won the school's “Miss Election”. Her dream? To become a famous acrobat and actress.

Fanta juggles between the care for her ill mother, school and what she loves the most; training as one of the only girls within an acrobatic group, with the hopes of joining their next big tour. Trying to bridge all expectations, Fanta starts to doubt what she really wants.
Since the release of the film Fantastique has been screened to audiences in Switserland, Belgium, France, Germany, Ireland, Poland, Quatar and Nigeria but not yet to a big audience in Guinea...
With this Sharedoc page we want to realise our dream of creating a big tour/impact campaign with Fantastique in Guinea. In the next year, Amoukanama will develop a new show in collaboration with Kira Circus. With a mobile dome and cinema we will travel across Guinee, to inspire the young generation to keep following their dreams.
