Their shed, along with all their tools and appliances, was damaged by a terrible fire that affected the cork oak tree near their home. They are the protagonists of this documentary shot in Niscemi, Sicily.

Help support the Terranova family to cover the costs of the damage caused by the fire. Last week a serious fire in the ancient cork forest surrounding the Terranova family home destroyed their shed. Salvatore's tools, Fida's trusted appliances, furniture, fixtures, a swimming pool and, a loss that cannot be materially quantified, the olive trees were destroyed. The fire is likely to be arson. This news left us speechless, and we decided to launch this fundraising campaign to support the Terranova family.
In 2024, we produced the documentary directed by Francesca Scalisi Valentina e i MUOStri (Valentina and the MUOSters) in Niscemi, Sicily, in the province of Catania.
In this magnificent nature reserve of centuries-old cork trees, MUOS, a US military satellite communications system, disfigures the landscape. Nevertheless, the Terranova family, deeply attached to their land, resists.
In this difficult time, we have decided to support the Terranova family to cover the costs of the damage caused by the fire. If you can, please join us with a donation or share this fundraising campaign!
